Christmas Morning 2012

As usual, Grant was the first to wake Christmas morning.  He came down to our room a little before 6:00 am.  He tried to lay in our bed with us for a short while so Cory and I could get another half hour of sleep.  "6:30," We told him.  "We'll get up at 6:30."  We may as well of gotten up, because he just laid there shaking his legs in excitement, eager to see what would be in his stocking.  Cory and I finally indulged him and dragged ourselves out of bed so he could see what Santa brought him.

While he was going through his stocking, Johanna made her way down.

Cory had to go wake up Julia so she wouldn't be too far behind. She came down with eyes half shut, and some serious bed-head, but it didn't take long to wake up as she began to empty her stocking.

A little help from Grant and Johanna....

Once they finished seeing what Santa brought for them (a stocking full of goodies and one Lego set each), we opened our presents to each other.

The highly anticipated, and most asked for gift of Grant's Christmas, his iPod touch.

The girls each received two of the ever popular Monster High Dolls.

I couldn't pass up this gorilla piggy-bank for Johanna when I saw it in the store.  She LOVED it!

Grant had a Christmas store at school where he picked out gifts for all of his family.  He was excited to watch the girls (and everyone else, too) open the gift he bought for them.  Zu-Zu Pets!

After opening all the presents, we enjoyed a nice breakfast, and the kids played with their new toys for a little while.  Soon after, we headed back over to Grandma and Grandpa H's house to spend time with them and Uncle Jeff on Christmas Day.  We had a wonderful Christmas!
