Scooby Doo Party

On July 13th, we celebrated the girl's birthdays with a Scooby-Doo party.

The cake looked, and tasted, awesome!

Root beer, raspberry lemonade, and raspberry peach Prosecco punch for the grown-ups.

When the guests first arrived, they could make a Scooby collar which they did by threading cereal onto yarn.

Grandma H and Abby at the collar-making table.  I don't think there was any collar making going on for cousin Abby.  I'm pretty sure she was just eating the cereal.

Here's Julia modeling her finished collar.

Johanna and Julia also wore Scooby themed clothes.  Johanna wore a Daphne inspired dress, while Julia wore a custom Scooby Doo shirt and tutu to match.

Cory was the grill master for the day.  We served burgers, hot dogs, brats, potato salad, coleslaw, and fruit salad.

Grandpa H and Aunt Jill enjoying the festivities.

After we ate the kids played pin-the-collar on the Scooby. They all had a lot of fun with that!

Grandma, Jill and Abby enjoyed some Play Doh fun while the older kids were playing the game.

After the game, we had cake and ice cream. Johanna and Julia blew out their candles, and then we served up the cake with ice cream complete with a topping bar with all the fix-in's.

After cake it was time for the Scooby pinata.  This one lasted much longer the Grant's one-hit-wonder from his party.  All the kids had a turn, except for Julia who chose not to beat up on Scooby.

Candy Time!

Nice hat, Sabrina!

This was about the time that a stray beagle wandered onto our property. He went right into our pond for a swim and drink, and then made his way around to say "hi" to all our guests(more on him in another post).

After the pinata, the girls opened their presents.

Later on in the evening, Cousin Cooper found himself a sweet ride. He fit perfectly in the girl's doll stroller.

Once again, we had a wonderful party with lots of wonderful food, fun, friends and family!
