Yay for Snow!

So far this winter, we had nothing more than an inch or two of snow which melted within a day or two.  The kids pulled all the sleds out and made a couple meager attempts at sledding.  Finally, we got a decent amount of snow, and now have 5-6 inches on the ground.  Grant couldn't of been happier because it meant three days of school cancellations within two weeks. Now the kids have definitely been able to get their fill of snow fun.  On Saturday, February 23rd, we all went out to play.

Yummy Snow!

 Whee-ee!

Next, the kids played around in their snow fort.

And then it was time for a snowball fight with Dad!

Our dog, Odin, just couldn't stay away from those snowballs!

Our other dog, Boomer, hung out watching us while gnawing on a deer bone, one of his favorite activities.

Not much beats a good day of snow play when you're a little kid!

Where did Spring Go?

In typical Missouri fashion, this one week (70 degrees, and signs of Spring everywhere):

turned into this the next week (30 degrees, and a winter wonderland once again):

I hear it's supposed to be back up in the 60's within a couple days.....
