Pirate Play

Grant and Johanna spent the morning playing pirate Lego's in Grant's room.  Right before lunch they came down to ask me if I could color their faces to match the pirates they were playing with.  Grant's Lego included a scruffy beard and some scars, Johanna's girl Lego only had on lipstick.  I told them no, one, because we were getting ready to eat lunch and, two, because the last time I used face pencils on Grant to make him look like a pirate, he took one look in the mirror and then washed it off.  We settled on no face coloring for Grant, a little lipstick for Johanna (and Julia who was now in on the action), and some "pirate" head scarves.  Next, we all tried to make mean pirate faces for the photos.  Some succeeded at this better than others.
