A Trip to Iowa

This past week we took a whirlwind trip to Iowa.  We were in Cedar Rapids first to visit Cory's family over Labor Day.  While the Dad's were golfing one of the days, the Mom's took the kids to a neat place called Bloomsbury Farm.  It had all kinds of fun activities for the kids to do, good cheeseburgers, and a haunted house that was actually pretty spooky.

After being in Cedar Rapids for four days, we drove four hours Northwest to Cherokee, Iowa, so Cory could to a health talk for a previous patient's employees.  The next day we woke up and drove an hour to Okoboji/Spirit Lake where we spent two days relaxing (kinda) and enjoying the beach, the pool, and visiting with some of Cory's family.

Julia LOVED playing in the pool because it was shallow enough she could walk around.

On Friday of that week, we drove the nine hours home with a stop in Cedar Rapids for lunch with Grandma and Grandpa Webb. That was a long day in the car!
