We have no idea how it got in, but it was obviously more than a little distressed, and trying to find a way out.
The boys did manage to prop open the slit in the netting that is the way in and out, and use a push broom to work her over to it. The owl eventually made it and flew out. We were glad for that, because none of us wanted to go up against those talons!
