Christmas Eve

We had a very nice Christmas Eve at our house. There was no snow, but the weather cooperated and everyone was able to make it out here and back home safe and sound.

We enjoyed everyone's company. We kept the food simple, and non-traditional (I think we'll go with a more traditional dinner next year. There's just something to be said about a nice Christmas dinner). We ate white chicken chili, chicken tortilla soup, and a Reuben braid. We had enough cookies to feed an army! The amazing thing is between all of us, and our various family functions, we were able to eat all those cookies.

The kids (and adults alike) had a fun time opening their presents. Grant LOVED the quilt I made for him (and the Lego's and boxer shorts which said, "got gas?"), Johanna loved her dress-up costumes, and Julia loved pulling her snail pull-toy.

Johanna seemed to really like this Mizzou tiger that Jeff received. She stood there for quite awhile looking at it and "petting" it. It was pretty funny.
