Our Orlando Vacation

We took a vacation to Orlando, Florida, for one week from September 1 to September 8.  We had a lot of fun and saw a lot of neat stuff.  I have decided to split up the blog posts by days because there are A LOT of pictures!

We flew non-stop (which was VERY nice) and arrived in Orlando in the evening on Saturday, September 1.  We got our rental car, drove to our time share resort, unpacked our suitcases and had a late dinner at a local restaurant.  Afterward, we came back to the resort and settled in for the night.

This is our building.

This was Cory and I's room, and Grant had one just like it.

 The girl's room.

The full kitchen, with a washer and dryer in a little room off to the side.

We also had a screened-in balcony like these.

On Sunday, we drove to Space Coast on the Eastern shore of Florida.  Home to the Kennedy Space Center and the famous Cocoa Beach.  There just happened to be a surfing competition going on that day so the beach was very crowded, but it was neat to watch the surfers (especially the tandem surfing).  The kids enjoyed playing in the ocean all morning, then we packed up our gear, had a late lunch of fish tacos and key lime tarts (Well, the adults did. The kids had pizza.), and stopped by the famous Ron Jon surf shop before heading back to Orlando.

The following two pictures are of a dog surfing.  You can seem him best on the second picture.  He's over on the right.

Tandem Surfers

The kids enjoyed some time swimming in the pool at the resort, and playing with the "surfers" they got at the Ron Jon store, before heading off to bed.

We had a great Sunday at the beach!  Tomorrow - Lego Land!
