The Story of the Silver Stork

Last week Johanna and I continued to practice tying shoe laces, and I also started reading her this book:

I will be reading a little bit of it everyday until we are finished with it.

After I read the first part of the book, Johanna and I drew pictures of storks.

Julia didn't want to be left out, and drew her own stork picture.

I continued with the story on Tuesday, and a bunny joined the cast of characters, so we modeled some carrots out of beeswax (Grant made the little orange and green bunny).

Johanna and Julia also helped me make some yummy carrot cookies.

On Wednesday, I read more of the story, and we were introduced to a kangaroo.  I tried to get Johanna to jump around the room like a kangaroo, but apparently she was not in a kangaroo mood, and wanted nothing to do with it.  After that, I let her go on about her way and play with Julia.

We will continue the story this week, and have more fun activities to go along with it.
