I am now officially a blogger. We started off the St. Patrick's Day week by making bread in the shape of a shamrock for our snack and enjoying a leprechaun story. After that we colored some pictures, and then headed outside. Tuesday I made Irish Soda bread (the recipe came from familyfun.com, and it was yummy). We made some "Mr. Potato head" leprechauns out of brown paper. We spent a lot of time outside because it was so nice out.
Today we started the tales of Tiptoes Lightly (the story of a fairy and her many friends) and made some pom-pom Spring bugs. Things are beginning to turn green outside. The daffodils are waking up, and the Lenten Rose is blooming. We have been watching all the root babies start to reach up to the sun.
With the hint of warmer weather, Grant has been all about wearing tank tops, especially when shooting hoops. He has been all about that, as well. He usually doesn't volunteer to go outside by himself, so I will say it has been nice to send him out on his own (In his tank top, of course). Yesterday, after nap, Johanna joined him for "a game of basketball", and Grant was kind enough to let her borrow one of his tank tops.

She was very proud to be wearing it. I was very proud of Grant for sharing it! We enjoyed some playtime before dinner which included a game of duck, duck, goose with Grant, Johanna, Julia and I. Needless to say, Grant and I were really the only two participants, while the other two were just wondered what we were doing!

Julia is working on tooth number 3, clapping, and learning she can make noise by hitting toys together. Oh, joy! She will be 8 months old on Friday. She isn't showing much interest in crawling yet, but that will be coming soon enough!

Now, we will be getting the house ready for Spring!
