Not to be outdone by the incident involving her sister, Julia was involved in her own incident on Sunday. For the record, Mom was away at a knitting class....
Cory and the kids were outside enjoying the beautiful weather. Cory was working on something while the kids were happily playing a short distance away. Cory turned around to check on them and saw Julia walking towards him, and then returned to what he was doing. As Julia got closer, he heard her say, "Kitty. Kitty."
(WARNING: If you have a weak stomach, you may want to stop reading now!).
He turned around to see Julia carrying a dead squirrel that the dogs had caught that morning. "Julia, DROP IT! YUCKY!" came the response from Cory who quickly took it away. Julia was totally distraught at having lost her new friend and began a full-out cry. Cory took her inside to wash her hands, and she soon forgot about her lost friend.
You gotta love the country life!
