Julia's Baptism

Julia was baptized at a service on Saturday, July 2.  She was baptized at the Lutheran Church that Grandma and Grandpa Webb attend, and where Grant and Johanna were baptized. Uncle Andy and Aunt Heather are going to be her Godparents.

This was Pastor Brenda's last baptism, as she will be leaving this church due to politics and unfair circumstances that she became involved with.  This baptism was very special for her, because as she was dripping the water on Julia's head over the bowl, Julia looked up at her and said, "Thank you." It almost made me cry when she said it, as it was such a sweet moment.  We found out later from Pastor Brenda that she almost lost it and started crying as well. It was so great that with all of the drama and difficult circumstances that have forced the Pastor to leave, there was one small, quiet voice that was able to put into simple words the feelings of many others at the church. Pastor Brenda said it was a moment she will never forget.
