Woodland Walk

Last Tuesday morning, we took our first walk of the new season on one of our woodland trails. This is my FAVORITE time of year to walk our trails.
You don't have to worry about ticks so much anymore, and you don't walk through as many spider webs which all seem to have been stretched, right at face height, across the path. These are both very good things.

We saw lots of mushrooms and moss.

Dad worked on clearing some limbs hanging over the path while Grant enjoyed climbing on his favorite fallen tree, and playing on the "Tarzan" vine. Dad got in on the action, too, so he could show Grant proper vine/tree climbing technique.

Grant and Johanna wanted to wear these hats they've had since they were around 1 year old.  Let's just say they are very stretchy....
