The kids and I went to visit a family that we met through our home school co-op group in the afternoon, and when we got back Dad had the tents set up and the fire burning.
After three more trips back to the house on the quad runner to get more of the essentials, such as food, pj's, blankies, and pillows, we were set.
Grant made sure we had some good camping music on, and then we grilled burgers and brats.
The kids had a great time being out there and playing in the tents, and out of the tents, and in the tents, and out of the tents.......
(Nobody slept in this tent. It is Grant's tent, and he requests that it gets put up.)
When it started to get dark, Julia and I made the trek back to the house while Cory, Grant and Johanna stayed out. This was Johanna's first time camping overnight in a tent. Cory said both of the kids had a good time and slept really well, even with the dogs barking and running off to chase things through the woods all night.
They woke up and came back to the house as happy as two little clams ready to do it all over again. Maybe next year...
