The Big Dogs

These are our outdoor companions, unless they have run off somewhere exploring (which happens a lot).  Always rambunctious and looking for a good scratch, sometimes stinky and dirty. (Okay, more like most of the time.)

BOOMER
We adopted Boomer 3 years ago from an animal shelter when he was about 2 years old so Odin would have a companion.  Little did we know, when you get two dogs together out in the country they like to wander off all the time.  You cannot keep a collar, or tags, on this one!  He always manages to loose them somewhere.  He really is one of the nicest dogs you could ever meet.

ODIN

We got Odin when he was a puppy on the advice that if you live in the country you should have a good guard dog.  He is 4 1/2 years old, and seems to think he needs to guard us from our mail lady and UPS man.  We think he has bad eyesight (but, really, how do you tell that in a dog), and seems to be somewhat afraid of the dark.  As Grant says, he doesn't like new people, and he does a good job of keeping people, particularly Jehovah's Witnesses, in their cars.
