We looked at a book about bees, and talked about how the shape of the honeycomb. Afterward, we drew pictures in our lesson book.

(The numbers and letters in Julia's drawing seem upside down and backwards because they are! She was trying to copy what Johanna and I were doing, but she was sitting on the other side of the table.)
Johanna also copied this verse about bees.
We also took the chalkboard drawing with all the shapes in it from last week, and drew it in our lesson books.

On Tuesday, we reviewed 7 and 8. I read Johanna the Grimm's Fairytale, The Seven Ravens. Afterward, I drew a chart with the seven days on the chalkboard, and then invited Johanna to draw a picture of something that we do on each day.
Julia got into the drawing, too.
Sunday is a cross for church, Monday is a picture of her and I having our penny whistle lesson, and Tuesday is jump rope day.
Wednesday is a picture of Julia singing because she didn't know what else to draw, Thursday is another picture of her jumping rope, and Friday is a picture of her and Grandpa eating breakfast from Panera Bread (every Friday morning we get breakfast from there, go to Grandpa's house for a little while to eat, and then go to the grocery store), Saturday is a picture of her sleeping in.

This was a workbook page that Johanna worked on throughout the week:
When Johanna was working on the workbook page, Julia was drawing the butterflies from it.
On Wednesday, we reviewed 9 and 10. I read the Grimm's Fairytale, The Gnome, and then Johanna drew a picture in her lesson book of her 10 favorite toys. The only problem was she got bored, and didn't quite finish.
On Thursday, we reviewed all the numbers again in preparation for our next math block when Johanna will begin learning the four processes.
